Trip Zero

Zero is built around a unique hybrid NOS germanium and silicon transistor Class A discrete circuit, featuring custom-wound transformers, an exceptionally low noise floor, generous headroom, and an extended high-frequency response. The result is a distinctive sonic character that goes far beyond a list of specifications.

The Mic input delivers a thick, smooth, and warm sound. With rich harmonic saturation and a transient response that sits somewhere between a vintage valve preamp and a discrete solid-state design. It is the kind of front end that makes a source sound finished before you even reach for an EQ.

The Line input is, once again, where Zero comes into its own, particularly when inserted across a mix bus. With the Gain selector switch set to 0 dB (unity gain), driving the Line input with hotter output levels from a DAW introduces rich harmonic saturation, enhanced depth, and dynamic energy. Whether used as a direct insert or in parallel, it brings character and cohesion to both mixing and mastering chains.

The DI input has been carefully designed with stringed instruments in mind, delivering the familiar warmth and balance of the hybrid germanium/silicon circuit while preserving detail, dynamics, and musicality.
